BOTHELL, Wash. – October 8, 2010 – Vertafore® (http://www.vertafore.com), a leading provider of software and information to the insurance industry, today announced that Special Insurance Services (SIS) is in production with Vertafore PolicyIssuance. PolicyIssuance provides a streamlined process for Managing General Agents (MGAs) and brokers to issue policies, focusing on efficiency, productivity and cost reduction.
SIS, an MGA dedicated to providing retail agents with a market for their specialty insurance needs, selected the Vertafore PolicyIssuance solution to automate their policy processing unit.
“We are extremely happy with the initial results of the PolicyIssuance solution in our office,” said Bill Kelso, CEO of SIS. “Prior to this implementation, we would rekey data from our management system directly into our policy forms. Now, PolicyIssuance has eliminated the redundant keystrokes and has increased our overall efficiency. Currently, we have general liability and commercial property in production, and we look forward to adding other lines of business and decreasing our policy processing costs.”
PolicyIssuance is web-based and built to ACORD XML standards. The solution provides an efficient process for MGAs to issue policies by auto-filling data directly from their agency management system to the appropriate and most current Excess and Surplus (E&S) carrier forms. This eliminates the need for the MGA to manage the updates from the different carriers.
