AMS360 insights: Solving error messages by clearing your cache

You may be familiar with error messages in AMS360 like Error loading form, Unable to load form, or Certificates are not viewable in eForms Manager. Rather than halt productivity to contact Customer Support, these errors can often be resolved quickly and easily just by clearing your cache. This month, we’ll walk you through the steps.

Clearing AMS360 Cache (from MyVertafore article 12448)

  1. Log out of AMS360 and close all browser pages
  2. Close Microsoft Outlook if running
  3. Open Windows Task Manager (press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC)
    • Windows 7 or 8.1
      • Go to the Processes tab
      • If AMSCommunicationService.EXE or WorkstationCoordinator.exe is listed, select it and click End Task
      • Close Windows Task Manager
    • Windows 10
      • Go to the Details tab
      • If AMSCommunicationService.EXE or WorkstationCoordinator.exe is listed, select it and click End Task
      • Close Windows Task Manager
  4. Open Run (Windows + R)
  5. Type %userprofile% and click OK
  6. Ensure you can view all hidden files and folders
    • Windows 7 or 8.1
      • From the Organize menu, click Folder and search options
      • Click the View tab
      • Under Advanced Settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives – click OK
    • Windows 10
      • From the View menu, click Options, then click Change folder and search options
      • Click the View tab
      • Under Advanced Settings, select Show hidden files, folders, or drives – click OK
  7. Double-click the AppData folder
  8. Double-click the Local folder
  9. Select and delete the AMS Services, Inc. folder
