The Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin (IIAW) is a nonprofit trade association representing more than 5,000 independent insurance agents across Wisconsin. Founded in 1899, the IIAW is one of the oldest insurance associations in the state and is connected to the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA), our national counterpart. Today, under the leadership of CEO Matt Banaszynski, the IIAW brings more than 125 years of industry experience, knowledge and advocacy to Wisconsin’s independent insurance community.
The IIAW provides the tools, knowledge and resources independent agents need to serve their clients effectively and build and maintain successful agencies. We help independent agencies protect what they have built, improve how they operate, and prepare for what comes next. Through education, advocacy, professional development, member resources and industry connections, the IIAW is committed to helping Wisconsin’s independent agents and their agencies thrive.
