Our Timeline

Vertafore is born!
1969

A company called Agency Records Control (ARC) began as a card tabulating service for independent insurance agents. ARC was the precursor to what we now know as Vertafore, while card tabulating was the precursor to what we now call computers.

Computing meets Insurance
1975

ARC introduces a minicomputer system with software specifically built to meet the needs of independent insurance agents.

A Growing Organization
1976

With almost a decade of preliminary successes under its belt, ARC acquires Agency Data Systems (ADS). Soon after, the ARCom’s User Group is formed, a precursor to the modern-day NetVU

New Partners, New Opportunities
1984

ARC merges with a similar, but newer, company called Agency Management Systems (AMS). The resulting company, known as ARC/AMS, begins marketing an in-agency micro-computer.

The Start of Today’s Vertafore
2004

ARC/AMS is acquired by Hellman & Friedman and JMI Equity, and takes on the name Vertafore.

Changing with the Times
2009

Amidst the changing technological landscape, Vertafore shifts its focus from product to market-focused segments, including Agency, Carrier and MGA/MGU specific software.

Well Rounded
2015

Vertafore acquires QQ Solutions, rounding out its status as the largest and most complete portfolio of Agency Management and Rating solutions for the independent insurance channel.

Going Places
2016

Vertafore is acquired by private equity and tech giants, Vista Equity Partners and Bain Capital. Amy Zupon is hired as Vertafore’s new CEO.

A Match Made in Heaven
2017

Vertafore acquires RiskMatch, a business intelligence and analytics company that provides industry-leading portfolio management and placement solutions to insurance brokers and carriers.

Vertafore Goes Mile-High
2017

The first Vertafore “Center of Excellence” and our new corporate headquarters opens in Denver, CO.

A View Into the Future
2019

Vertafore acquires VUE Software to expand our capabilities and provide a complete distribution management solution that does not exist with any other single provider.

Vertafore, the leader in modern insurance technology acquired VUE Software (VUE) on May 16, 2019, to complement its Sircon solutions and create the most powerful insurer distribution management platform in the industry. With this transaction, Vertafore expands its suite of insurer solutions with VUE's distribution technology.  The resulting solution, Vertafore’s Distribution Management Suite, improves operational efficiency, minimizes risk, upgrades the distributor experience, and organizes the entire distribution management lifecycle.

Health Benefits & Wellness

Vertafore cares about the health and well-being of its employees. We provide Group Medical Insurance for Employees which is not limited to them alone but is extended to the entire family. In addition to this to ensure a financial security employee are provided Group Personal Accident Insurance which has a coverage for Accidental Death, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability. Maternity Leave is granted as per the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017

We have regular health camps, wellness talk by health experts and also a sick room (medical room) in house. A first aid kit is always available in the event of an accident or injury.

Holidays & Leave Policy

Vertafore provides opportunities to plan your vacations and manage emergencies.

The Company grants 10 festival holidays per year, minimum 18 days of annual leave, an option to encash or carry forward leaves at the end of the year, additional leaves such as bereavement leave, wedding leave, recognition leave, paternity leave, etc.  

Statutory Deductions PF/Gratuity/ESI

As per the government norms Vertafore follows all the statutory norms such as Provident Fund, Gratuity and Employee State Insurance etc.

We dance the night away with great entertainment and enjoy an unforgettable experience in a stylish atmosphere with lavish food.

A dedicated Annual Event at Vertafore, Ahmedabad celebrates the success of Vertafore employees. After igniting the inaugural lamp, the SPARK evening takes off; employees explore and participate in Cultural Events, a Fashion Ramp Walk, Bollywood Dialogues, Awards, Recognition’s and Future Opportunities with Vertafore. The spirit of celebration continues with creativity, enthusiasm and spontaneous applause, fueled with food and winding up to groove with the beats.

FACE

FACE is a weekly activity at Vertafore to develop an enjoyable workplace and engage employees with fun activities. Mix & Mingle Team Games, Coding Contests, Arts Magic, Cultural Events, Fridays Favorites, International Women’s Day and Healthy Snacks bring the busy week to closure with fun and light-heartedness.

CELEBRATION OF FESTIVALS

Throughout the year, Vertafore hosts festival celebrations of Diwali, Ramzaan and Christmas, honoring them with spirited cultural programs.

Vertafore Cares

Like many corporations that believe in social responsibility, Vertafore thinks it is important to give back to society, particularly in local areas where we live and work. We have initiated and continue to explore several programs where we can make a difference.

Our first initiative “Vertafore Cares,” started relatively small with big aspirations. The Vertafore Cares Team is interested in helping various segments of society, but our main focus is on helping needy children (orphanages), elders (old age homes) and those with physical/mental challenges and creating social awareness of health and the environment.

Our Projects

So far, we’ve worked on humanitarian projects such as “Project Dwarakamayee,” started to assist Hudhud cyclone victims by providing them with warm blankets.

Our “Project Street Samaritan” also provides blankets for those living on the streets in the winter. We also propagated the importance of education through our “School Distribution Kit” program, distributing school kits to needy children at the beginning of the school year that include school bags and school supplies (books, pencils, etc.)

Another of our innovative projects that was well received by the business community and local residents was our collaboration with Hyderabad Traffic Police to promote “Traffic Awareness.” Other important projects that have impacted the lives of the less privileged are, “Skip a Meal and Feed the Poor”, “Free Drinking Water near our office premises” and “Orphanage Kids’ Picnic.” A major effort that is very close to our hearts is our blood drive where Vertfaore employees donate blood to our local hospital. We are very pleased that our efforts contributed to saving the life of a young girl who suffers from blood cancer.

Vertafore follows the belief “to whom much is given, much will be required” and continues to strive by making a positive impact on people in need and society.

Vertafore Sports

We encourage sports and like the rest of the people in this cricket-crazy country, we love cricket and actively conduct and take part in internal and external corporate tournaments. We believe sports can develop team spirit in individuals and every company needs that team spirit to build strong and productive teams. RACE (Recreation for All Vertafore Employees) is our annual sports event, conducted as part of our Annual Day.
