Vertafore Introduces New BenefitPoint Capabilities that Help Insurance Agencies Manage, Analyze, and Grow Their Business

Bothell, WA. – May 28, 2015 – Vertafore, the leading provider of software that transforms the business of insurance, today announced new product capabilities within its industry leading benefits-management solution, BenefitPoint®. The updates are designed to help independent agencies streamline the management of their benefits business to drive profitability and adhere to today’s ever-changing environment of government regulation and healthcare reform. The company will be showcasing the new capabilities at CIAB’s 14th annual Employee Benefits Leadership Forum, taking place May 26-29 in Colorado Springs, CO.

Vertafore has more than 15 years of experience helping independent agencies and brokerages increase profitability and streamline benefits management. Vertafore is the market leader in benefits software, providing the industry’s first cloud-based benefits specific solution. Today, many agencies are burdened with manual line-by-line comparisons of estimated carrier commissions versus checks received. Other agencies are altogether bypassing this step and relying solely on carrier accuracy. With BenefitPoint revenue tracking capabilities, customers can upload carrier statements electronically, analyze estimated revenue based on actual receivables, and quickly identify any missing revenue or short-pay issues. Today, 72% of the largest benefits brokerages rely on BenefitPoint, and on average, are identifying two to six percent in missing revenue.

New BenefitPoint features are designed to make it easier to do business and deliver compelling, competitive offerings for customers. Key capabilities of this upgrade include:

1.  File Drag-N-Drop – Users can simply drag files from their desktop and applications directly into BenefitPoint, reducing time needed to upload attachments.
2.  Streamlined Carrier Management – The new version of BenefitPoint enables agents and brokers to search for large sets of plans and replace either or both the writing carrier and commissions paid by carrier.
3.  More Robust Audit Trail – To help better defend against E&O claims, BenefitPoint audit logs capture even more actions, and are among the most robust and comprehensive in the industry.

“We are deeply committed to innovation in the benefits space, and these enhancements to BenefitPoint build on the momentum of the innovations we announced last fall,” said Greg Wright, senior vice president, agency solutions at Vertafore. “Over the next year, our team will continue rolling out even more features and capabilities that address the unique needs of benefits brokers across the country.”
